To be a Christian witness and presence to the riding community of South Africa

Our Vision

To open up ways in which skaters and surfers can grow in their knowledge of Christ and develop their own real relationship with Him.

WHAT ARE WE TRYING TO DO

Our Goals:
Above all to bring Glory to his name in all we do. To boldly lift Him up so that people will be drawn to Him.

To partner with local churches in seeing surfers and skaters come to know Christ, To see them grow into mature radical followers of Christ that are reaching out to others.

To be a Christian presence and witness to the entire skating community from grommet to gramps, from competitor to industry professionals.

To network with churches to form harbours for our clubs (a safe place where saved skaters and surfers can be discipled).

To think creatively and look for commercial ventures that we can establish to assist with the resource needs of the ministry.

To turn youth into on fire real alive bold Christians and change the preconceived ideas of skaters.

Our History: A short version

Son Skate started out in 1998 in Edenvale as nothing more than a passion for Jesus and a passion for skateboarding and going on road trips. In 2000 it became a National organization as clubs started around the country.

We have grown from strength to strength and in 2007 moved the National office to Jeffreys bay to best assist the growth and the clubs around the country.

The National office exists to empower and equip both club leaders and churches interested in skate ministry around South Africa and into Africa.
