Hi everyone,
I’ll be attending a Surf and Skate conference that will be happening in Jeffery’s bay from the 29 April – 2 May 2011. I had the the privilege of attending previous conferences, and these experiences has given me the opportunity to grow and make friends with people all around South Africa.
I run a skate project call Roll Free project in Bonteheuwel, Cape Town where the youth gets together every Tuesday and Thursday from 3pm-6pm to have fun and skate. Roll Free project is also partnering with an organization called Inspired to become. This is an organization that focuses on developing youth through Sports. At this point they are focusing mainly on alternative sports such as rollerblading, skateboarding and skim boarding.
Through the course of the year I’ve identified one of the youth that has been helping me with the skate project. His name is Keerin Noah, he’s very passion about skateboarding and has a great love for God. He is 22 year’s old, currently unemployed but possess great leadership abilities. He has not had the opportunity to travel and I believe that the Surf and Skate Conference will be a great opportunity for him to be apart of.
I am currently trying to raise money for him to go to the Conference. He needs R1200 to go to join us and we’ve received R250 so far. We still require R950.
We would like to appeal to you for you support in helping us to send Keerin Noah to this years Surf and Skate conference. You support will be greatly appreciated, it doesn’t matter how small you donation is, every little bit counts.
