Its a quiet and sedentary day here in J-Bay, but that is all about to change. The 2010 soccer world cup may be over but Billabong is about to start. Ther is a Buzz in the air and come tomorrow morning the fire cracker is going to go off. There is a 6 ft westerly swell building out of the south with a good wave period and the top 44 surfers in the world are in town to ride it. It is going to be amazing.
The Son Surf house will have 16 people living in it over the next 10 Days as we serve in different aspects of the event.
Andy Pitt; & Theo are on the road and will arrive tonight Andy is the Africa Chaplin and will be a direct presence and witness to the crew and behind the scenes guys at this years Bong. Abe And his wife Liza arrive from Australia as the international Chaplin who serves the pros as they travel around the country. We have Jess and her crew all serving in the media department, Jonty and I working as freelance jurnos, The interns helping with chaplaincy and media and Sharon keeping everyone fed and managing home base.
